Earrings

I started making earrings in high school, and it’s a craft I’ve come back to several times. There’s something so satisfying about transforming simple materials into unique, wearable art. I primarily work with oven-bake clay, shaping, shading, and painting each piece by hand. But I also love experimenting—sometimes that means turning unexpected trinkets, like Christmas ornaments, into one-of-a-kind earrings!

One of my favorite projects was creating 10 different earring designs—about 50 individual sets!—as Christmas gifts for family and friends. Some designs were festive and holiday-themed, while others were more quirky or artistic, so everyone could find a pair that suited their style. To make the gifting experience even more fun, I designed custom jewelry cards and set up a display board, allowing everyone to pick their favorites!

These are a few of the first earrings I made when I first got into jewelry-making in high school! While my skills have definitely improved since then, I love looking back at these early designs as a reminder of where I started. Exploring this hobby has been such a fun creative outlet, and I’m so glad I decided to give it a try!
